In South Africa Audi is one such manufacturer bringing its e-tron range to the country early in 2022. A model range that includes the e-tron SUV, e-tron Sportback and e-tron GT.
Over the past 100 years Audi has built its brand hinged on producing prestige vehicles with advance technology and design. The quattro all-wheel drive was introduced ahead of its competition and the pioneering of aluminium space frame technology are just two of the innovations that come to mind. It is certain when a vehicle is spotted sporting the Four Rings logo it is immediately recognised as a premium product across the globe.
Now a new era of mobility awaits as Audi commits itself to an electric future for its products. By 2026 every new Audi model introduced to the market will be all-electric driven. South Africa will experience the electric Audi range in the first quarter of 2022 with the launch of six new e-tron models across three different model ranges.
Again, Audi is a front runner in the automobile industry phasing out combustion engines and aggressively moving ahead with all-electric alternatives. The business also wants to continue to produce and offer its premium customers all-electric vehicles which are exciting, stylish, and appealing to this new buyer.
The new range offered in South Africa will the Audi e-tron 50 and e-tron 55 in the SUV category and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 and e-tron Sportback S in the CUV category. The high-performance category will contain the Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.
Customers have only a few more months to wait until the launch when product specifications and pricing of the e-tron range will be announced.
